Breast surgery scar photo causes controversy on Facebook.

A Oxfordshire lady named Anna Antell had posted pictures of the post cosmetic surgery scar she received after having a mastectomy from breast cancer and the pictures she posted were deemed as “nudity” by the social networking site, Facebook. The pictures were removed from her profile, but after a review by the company Ms. Antell was allowed to reload the pictures from her experience with breast surgery after surviving breast cancer.

Facebook representatives now say that Ms. Antell has the right to share her experience and the images to her friends and family without reproach, because they feel that she wants to raise awareness about the disease and show what happens to the ladies that have to experience it. Anna said that she is glad to see that good sense prevailed and she was allowed to once again show the pictures of her post-operation plastic surgery.

The pictures were found by software that Facebook uses to help detect images that might be offensive and users can also report the pictures themselves. A spokeswoman for Facebook said that they are always striving to get the balance of their policies right to enable people to share their experiences while still protecting others. Facebook allows children as young as 13 to be a part of the site, but they are restricted as to what they can access and do. They do not allow nude images of any kind of the site and they strictly enforce the policies that they have.

Younger women now even more interested in cosmetic surgery.

The results of a recent survey about cosmetic surgery in Toronto has had an interesting conclusion. 10,000 women between the ages of 16 and 70 were surveyed across Canada and were asked if they were interested in cosmetic surgery and non-surgical treatments. The age group that stated that they would want plastic surgery was drastically highest between the ages of 16 and 35 with a gradual decline from 35+. Just a decade ago the average age for a woman wanting a facelift was around 55, but now it has dropped closer to 40.

Toronto cosmetic surgery has become very exposed over the last few decades thanks to the media and Hollywood. There is no doubt that these trends will continue and the ages will continue to decrease as the cosmetic surgery procedures become more sophisticated and the more women receive them. The survey also found that an increasing number of women would consider having a non-surgical cosmetic surgery procedure before they would undergo the knife. Three out of four of the women surveyed also said that they believe that their youthful-looking and even-toned skin was their biggest beauty attribute.

South Africans love cosmetic surgery

The country has been under a financial burden for some time now and it does not look to be letting up any time soon, but this has not stopped many South Africans from applying for new medical loans for cosmetic surgery procedures. In less than 2 years some long standing health companies have been receiving thousands of applications for numerous cosmetic surgery procedures.

One popular health company spokeswoman said, “Even though we have just survived a major recession and the economy of the entire world is struggling, we still have numerous people applying for payment assistance for plastic surgery procedures.” She went on to say, “These operations are not only for aesthetic reasons, many people are looking for fertility treatments also.”

These patients must first get a quote from their doctor for the plastic surgery procedure and then fill out the online form. These forms are evaluated by the companies and given a risk score before they are approved for the loans. If they are of low-risk, then they are offered a lower rate and vise-verse. If a client is approved, then the company pays for the cosmetic surgery procedure and the applicant pays them back in monthly installments. They offer better interest rates than banks, but these companies will not loan to just anyone however.

There are a number of males and many other groups that apply for the loans, but a majority of them are white females in their mid 30′s. Men seem to be focused mainly on facial reconstruction and liposuction, while women are spread across the board.

One lady interviewed told us that the recession didn’t even weigh into her decision to get a breast augmentation. Cosmetic surgery was a dream of hers and she was going to get it no matter the cost. She said she loves her new breast enlargement and it was the best gift she ever got for herself. She also tells us that she paid cash and would have never expected her husband or boyfriend to pay for them, because she wanted to do it for herself.

Bad credit? Plastic Surgery is not impossible

It’s no secret that the rates of cosmetic surgery have increased over the years, but mainly because the demand for cosmetic surgery has increased so much. With all of the new technologies and innovations of the science of plastic surgery in the past decade it’s no wonder that more and more people desire to have these expensive procedures. Most people in today’s society want to be attractive and they will pay nearly any cost to attain the results that they desire.

Cosmetic surgery loans are now available in the market today due to the increasing amount of people that want these cosmetic surgeries. Many people have problems getting the loans because of high interest rates, late loan payers, defaults, etc. To remedy this problem there are many new lenders coming forward to finance bad credit holders. If you are one of the many that suffer from credit issues, you can now apply for these bad credit plastic surgery loans. There are two ways that you can get these loans. They are secured and unsecured loans. If the borrower is interested in borrowing a bad credit plastic surgery loan they must pledge some valued property as an asset against the loan. These lenders typically carry a low interest rate for secured loans and can have flexible repayment times that vary from 5-20 years.

The unsecured loans for bad credit cosmetic surgery are a better choice for short-term and smaller needs. There is no need to pledge anything of value and you may have a shorter repayment period from usually 5-10 years. They have a high interest rate, but are collateral free. You may use these loans for nearly any type of plastic surgery.

Celebrity Cosmetic Surgery on ABC special

It was an interesting and well-done piece, I’ll give them that much. The ABC Primetime special Celebrity Plastic Surgery: Gone Too Far that aired recently included three different celebrities who have all had a cosmetic surgery or more. They were Heidi Montag, Janice Dickinson and Pete Burns. These three cases are most definitely not the “norm” when it comes to the standard of Hollywood or any other place in the US. They are all three rather unique cases.

Plastic surgery is typically performed on very normal people that simply need it for medical reasons or they want to feel better about themselves. Cosmetic surgery for the most part is performed on people who will benefit from it in some form or fashion. That leads me to the two teenagers that were depicted on the show. One of them had a rhinoplasty and the other a breast augmentation. Breast augmentation or most any cosmetic surgery in teens is just something I am against unless there is a legitimate medical reason for the operation.

The show highlighted a few other examples of corrective plastic surgery as well from a well-known doctor that was on Dr. 90210′s first season. This section of the special showed that an epidemic of sorts is staring to take place due to the large number cosmetic surgeons that aren’t really cosmetic surgeons. One plastic surgeon stated that recently two out of three of her cosmetic surgery procedures were to repair unsatisfactory results from a previous plastic surgery procedure. The doctor went to state that she believe that the well-trained and real plastic surgeons are not doing enough to educate the public about the potential hazards of selecting a poorly trained or an unlicensed cosmetic surgeon.

The secrets about getting a breast augmentation in Toronto

Cosmetic Surgery Toronto and what you need to know…

During a visit to my gynecologist a few days ago I had a fairly awkward moment. As she was checking my breasts in that horribly uncomfortable way that all gynecologist do she said to me, “I don’t really care for about 75% of the breast augmentations that I see, but yours are very good.”

I replied, “Really? So what’s different about the other 25%?”

“They don’t feel right. They may look okay, but there’s just something… unnatural about them if they’re the wrong shape or size or if they’re not placed in the right spot. They just seem fake… your breast implants don’t.”

The experience made me think about some interesting things concerning breast augmentation in Toronto. After my gynecologist told me that my cosmetic surgeon was really good I got to thinking about the things that they simply don’t tell you when you’re looking for a plastic surgeon. Like when you are looking for a good lawyer after a ridiculous car accident. There are a million people with law degrees from all over, but it doesn’t mean that they are a good lawyer! You need to really get to know a lot about a person that is going to be cutting on your body!

Find their past testimonials and before and after photos to see what kind of work they have done. If you can’t find anything about your plastic surgeon, you may want to consider finding anther one. Even if your best friend or cousin went to a doctor and they think that they did a good job. Make sure that you check them out yourself. Look at the before and after photos and see if you want your body to look like what that doctor has already done before.

Certifications are great and important, but when you visit your plastic surgeon ask to see his patient photo book. If they don’t have one or are reluctant to do so, don’t let the door hit you where the Good Lord split you on your way out.

“Every Day” ladies get breast implants in Toronto too.

I was chatting with a girl friend of mine a few days ago and she told me that best friend from college asked her to be a bridesmaid for her Jamaican wedding. That was awesome news all except for the bridesmaid dresses her friend chose for the wedding. They looked like they were unearthed from an 80′s sitcom and they made her look like she had a skinny “man” chest.

After we went through a ton of ideas about how to make her cleavage a little more womanly. She finally said, “You are so lucky to have such amazing breasts.”

I laughed and dropped the news on her that I wasn’t always a D cup. I use to be a 36B.

She was shocked and told me that I look like I have porn-star breasts. I told her that few women that have a breast augmentation do. Toronto ladies from school teachers to lawyers to stay-at-home moms are having breast augmentations in Toronto and many of them are not going for the over-sized balloons that you see on strippers. Toronto Cosmetic Surgeons say downturn in the economy…

…is effecting the Toronto cosmetic surgery market. Faces, stomachs and breasts are sagging right along with the economy. It seems that all of the people that would be having a cosmetic surgery done recently are opting out of the expensive surgeries due to the tough financial times. There are a number of reports that state that major cosmetic surgery procedures are down by as much as 30 percent and these numbers are going to continue to plummet as long as the economy continues to suffer.

Deana Mercer is a fashion tech in Toronto, “Plastic surgery is just out of the question for me right now. I’ve been wearing body-shaping underwear until I can afford the couple of thousand dollars to afford another liposuction.”

She has only recently started shopping at a discount grocery store and will now drive a few extra minutes to save on gas. She said that she had to recently bail out her sister in the States to help her avoid a foreclosure.

In a recent poll amongst plastic surgeons, Toronto doctors say that cosmetic surgeries are down at least 30 percent from last year. This was the sediment in about 55 percent of the cosmetic surgery clinics in Toronto that were surveyed. The spring and summer seem to be the favorable times for most people to have cosmetic surgeries in Toronto so the fall and winter months have been even harder on some plastic surgeons that say the number of major cosmetic surgeries has reduced as much as 40 percent from last year.
Toronto-Cosmetic-Surgeons-economy
Some Toronto plastic surgeons are trying new avenues to attract business. They are changing their websites, their mailing lists and their advertising in an attempt to regain some customers. Many cosmetic surgeons in Toronto are saying that they have noticed an increase in cheaper, less invasive surgeries, like Botox and wrinkle fillers. Their customers are spending an average of nearly 50 percent less than they were last year. This definitely has the doctors worried that have spent a lot of money to renovate and upgrade their clinics and facilities.

The entire cosmetic surgery industry in Toronto is feeling the economic downturn and it doesn’t seem to be changing any time soon.

Cosmetic surgery death… Importance of qualified cosmetic surgery

It’s not something we hear often, but there are cosmetic surgery deaths every year in Canada. A young woman at the age of 25 named Valerie Castonguay died in May of 2008 after a cosmetic surgery by what her parents say was “a preventable tragedy.” Valarie was having a fairly routine cosmetic nose surgery called a septorhinoplasty done and after the procedure she was given oxygen in the recovery room.

The clinic staff did not allow for a change in the pressure when they hooked up the oxygen tube and as a result, the young ladies lungs over-inflated.

She was declared brain dead only 12 hours after the cosmetic surgery and her parents are now actively pursuing legal action that will require better regulation of the doctors and nursing staffs at private clinics.

There were no criminal charges filed as a result of Valarie’s death, but her parents lawyer, Jean-Pierre Menard said that “It’s not an act of God here. This is a situation that could have been clearly avoided.” Despite several government bills to improve the situations at these cosmetic surgery clinics, the problems of quality care still arise at different clinics all over Canada.

Efforts to reach the clinic responsible for Valarie’s death were unsuccessful.
