Bad credit? Plastic Surgery is not impossible

It’s no secret that the rates of cosmetic surgery have increased over the years, but mainly because the demand for cosmetic surgery has increased so much. With all of the new technologies and innovations of the science of plastic surgery in the past decade it’s no wonder that more and more people desire to have these expensive procedures. Most people in today’s society want to be attractive and they will pay nearly any cost to attain the results that they desire.

Cosmetic surgery loans are now available in the market today due to the increasing amount of people that want these cosmetic surgeries. Many people have problems getting the loans because of high interest rates, late loan payers, defaults, etc. To remedy this problem there are many new lenders coming forward to finance bad credit holders. If you are one of the many that suffer from credit issues, you can now apply for these bad credit plastic surgery loans. There are two ways that you can get these loans. They are secured and unsecured loans. If the borrower is interested in borrowing a bad credit plastic surgery loan they must pledge some valued property as an asset against the loan. These lenders typically carry a low interest rate for secured loans and can have flexible repayment times that vary from 5-20 years.

The unsecured loans for bad credit cosmetic surgery are a better choice for short-term and smaller needs. There is no need to pledge anything of value and you may have a shorter repayment period from usually 5-10 years. They have a high interest rate, but are collateral free. You may use these loans for nearly any type of plastic surgery.

Celebrity Cosmetic Surgery on ABC special

It was an interesting and well-done piece, I’ll give them that much. The ABC Primetime special Celebrity Plastic Surgery: Gone Too Far that aired recently included three different celebrities who have all had a cosmetic surgery or more. They were Heidi Montag, Janice Dickinson and Pete Burns. These three cases are most definitely not the “norm” when it comes to the standard of Hollywood or any other place in the US. They are all three rather unique cases.

Plastic surgery is typically performed on very normal people that simply need it for medical reasons or they want to feel better about themselves. Cosmetic surgery for the most part is performed on people who will benefit from it in some form or fashion. That leads me to the two teenagers that were depicted on the show. One of them had a rhinoplasty and the other a breast augmentation. Breast augmentation or most any cosmetic surgery in teens is just something I am against unless there is a legitimate medical reason for the operation.

The show highlighted a few other examples of corrective plastic surgery as well from a well-known doctor that was on Dr. 90210′s first season. This section of the special showed that an epidemic of sorts is staring to take place due to the large number cosmetic surgeons that aren’t really cosmetic surgeons. One plastic surgeon stated that recently two out of three of her cosmetic surgery procedures were to repair unsatisfactory results from a previous plastic surgery procedure. The doctor went to state that she believe that the well-trained and real plastic surgeons are not doing enough to educate the public about the potential hazards of selecting a poorly trained or an unlicensed cosmetic surgeon.

“Every Day” ladies get breast implants in Toronto too.

I was chatting with a girl friend of mine a few days ago and she told me that best friend from college asked her to be a bridesmaid for her Jamaican wedding. That was awesome news all except for the bridesmaid dresses her friend chose for the wedding. They looked like they were unearthed from an 80′s sitcom and they made her look like she had a skinny “man” chest.

After we went through a ton of ideas about how to make her cleavage a little more womanly. She finally said, “You are so lucky to have such amazing breasts.”

I laughed and dropped the news on her that I wasn’t always a D cup. I use to be a 36B.

She was shocked and told me that I look like I have porn-star breasts. I told her that few women that have a breast augmentation do. Toronto ladies from school teachers to lawyers to stay-at-home moms are having breast augmentations in Toronto and many of them are not going for the over-sized balloons that you see on strippers. They are simply get a breast surgery in Toronto to feel better about themselves. You don’t notice these women as much because they’re not calling out for your undivided attention.

Cosmetic surgery death… Importance of qualified cosmetic surgery

It’s not something we hear often, but there are cosmetic surgery deaths every year in Canada. A young woman at the age of 25 named Valerie Castonguay died in May of 2008 after a cosmetic surgery by what her parents say was “a preventable tragedy.” Valarie was having a fairly routine cosmetic nose surgery called a septorhinoplasty done and after the procedure she was given oxygen in the recovery room.

The clinic staff did not allow for a change in the pressure when they hooked up the oxygen tube and as a result, the young ladies lungs over-inflated.

She was declared brain dead only 12 hours after the cosmetic surgery and her parents are now actively pursuing legal action that will require better regulation of the doctors and nursing staffs at private clinics.

There were no criminal charges filed as a result of Valarie’s death, but her parents lawyer, Jean-Pierre Menard said that “It’s not an act of God here. This is a situation that could have been clearly avoided.” Despite several government bills to improve the situations at these cosmetic surgery clinics, the problems of quality care still arise at different clinics all over Canada.

Efforts to reach the clinic responsible for Valarie’s death were unsuccessful.

Billions spent on cosmetic surgery procedures regardless of the economy

The US has never seen such unemployment rates, the economy has all but collapsed, American homes have plummeted yet over 10 billion dollars went into the cosmetic surgery industry in 2009. That’s only about a 2% decrease from 2008. According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery there were nearly 10 million cosmetic surgeries (both surgical and non-surgical) performed in the United States last year. Roughly 85% of these were a non-surgical type of procedure, like Botox or laser hair removal.

The records state that there were roughly 2.5 million Botox injections. The major cosmetic surgery procedures were breast augmentation, liposuction and cosmetic eyelid surgery.

It’s kind of strange to think, but some cosmetic surgeons argue that the terrible economy is actually causing some of these plastic surgeries, because people feel that if they look better they will have a better chance at landing a job in the workforce over someone that doesn’t look as good. They may have a good point there. Even people on unemployment are getting in on the cosmetic surgery action with the idea that they are spending money to make money. Crazy?

Ontario cosmetic surgery council takes on misleading names

Countless bungled cosmetic surgery procedures by general practitioners claiming to be plastic surgeons in Ontario has the body that governs Ontario cosmetic surgeons and doctors up in arms to stop the misleading titles.

The Council of the College of Physicians and Surgeons wants the new regulations to be approved by the province so these doctors that are using false titles and pretenses will be banned from using the “surgeon” title unless they were legitimately certified. The entire idea behind the movement is to help protect patients from physicians that are unjustly calling themselves cosmetic surgeons and leading patients to believe that they are qualified to do cosmetic surgery procedures.

If the new regulation is passed by the province it will clarify a doctor allowing the patient to know if they have been formally trained to be a cosmetic surgeon. The proposal could take up to six months to be approved by the province. This is in response to a 32 year old Toronto man dying last year after complications from a liposuction procedure at a Toronto cosmetic surgery clinic by a physician that was not properly trained or qualified to do the procedure.

Some Toronto cosmetic surgeons do not think the proposal will help the issues at all because they say that it will not stop family doctors or surgeons who have no formal cosmetic surgery training from doing the complex and often dangerous operations.

A plastic surgeon in Toronto was quoted as saying, “It’s only half of the job. It’s still not protecting the public.”

South Koreans and their dream to looking beautiful

Cosmetic Surgery and South Koreans’ dreams

If you think that cosmetic surgery in Toronto is commonplace you should make a visit to South Korea. A recent study has shown that approximately 80% of women in South Korea have had at least a double eyelid operation. Cosmetic surgery for them has become as normal as getting braces. These cosmetic procedures are not only popular in young adults and college age people, even teenagers that are still in high school are electing to get these popular plastic surgeries.

With the average age of most South Koreans having their first cosmetic surgery procedure at the age of 18, its no wonder that there is a beauty craze taking over the small Asian country. In fact, the craze has caught the attention of neighboring countries like China and Japan.

Talking to locals you will find countless people that have had these cosmetic surgeries. A young woman that we met said, “I’ve had my eyes and nose done, there’s no special feeling but there are some who have said I look more beautiful.”

This trend isn’t just for the ladies either, we found numerous men that have many different plastic surgeries such as liposuction, nose jobs and face lifts. There are many Chinese and Japanese men and women that we found all over South Korea coming to the country to get these cosmetic surgeries. Many Chinese men have had their cheekbones reshaped in South Korean cosmetic surgery clinics which are more like five-star hotels. Japanese get liposuction, but will rarely do any kind of facial augmentations.”

This trend isn’t going anywhere any time soon as hundreds, if not thousands of foreigners flock to South Korea to get these cosmetic surgeries.

The cutting edge. Only ten years ago…

If you heard the words, rhinoplasty, mesotherapy, abdominoplasty or liposuction about ten years ago you would have thought you were in a poorly scripted sci-fi movie, but thanks to intuitive new shows about plastic surgery these words are starting to become common-place in our society. Cosmetic reconstructive procedures are quickly becoming a normal part of getting older (or more attractive according to media standards).

There is a new magazine called Boca Raton that has been released in Canada and the US that wants to help educate the public about these new and more updated plastic surgery procedures that you can find in any clinic in North America from a Toronto cosmetic surgery clinic to a Miami cosmetic surgery clinic. The magazine does not intend to glamorize the procedures, but rather to give its readers a more enhanced view of the cosmetic surgery industry. The magazine is set to be published three times a year and is sold in most major retail bookstores for around ten dollars. Each issue has around 250 pages filled with information from topics including how to find and choose the right plastic surgeon for you, how to determine if you really need a breast augmentation and even the best places for spa treatment.

Another new magazine is called “New Beauty” and is being released internationally, including Canada. There are a number of different regions the magazine is intending on expanding upon and its goal is to help candidates find the right plastic surgeon for themselves. They have short biographies and editorials for each cosmetic surgeon listed. The magazine is approved by a board of doctors and surgeons before each issue is set for publication to ensure that its information is 100% accurate and valid. New Beauty has many different real people sharing their personal experiences and the procedures that they have undergone.

These new magazine’s may be found in major stores all throughout Toronto. Plastic Surgery is on the rise and if you want to be on the cutting edge get to your local bookstores and find these great new magazine’s.

Science vs. Emotion.

It’s more an old fashioned gun fight in a saloon than a scientific debate it seems. The debate over the return of silicone breast implants is a heated one. There are two very different and opposing sides that are battling over the possible lift of the ban on silicone breast implants. The main issue is patient choice vs. patient safety, but many women in Toronto want silicone breast implants.

They say that the ban on them is more of a moral stance rather than a scientific one and those wanting the ban lifted are accusing the FDA of placing a higher standard on them because of how these breast implants have been treated over the years. Silicone breast implants were allowed in the United States, but only for women needing them after a breast cancer surgery. Women who wanted them for cosmetic reasons had to go with saline breast implants and many women didn’t like this because they felt that the silicone breast implants felt and looked more realistic.

It does appear that emotion has trumped science over the years (since silicone breast implants were banned in 1992), but there could be a change in the wind coming because of all the impressive amount of data that both sides of the argument have accumulated over the years. It seems that almost any decision that the FDA makes influences business all over the United States and Canada because some things are allowed in one country or the other and people are electing to go across the border to access certain things not available in their country.

The reason that the FDA originally elected to remove the silicone breast implants from the market years ago was because they believed that a rupture of the implant could result in a number of autoimmune diseases and issues such as lupus or scleroderma and possibly even breast cancer. Findings over the years have basically disproved much of the earlier beliefs, but there are still passionate advocates of keeping the long-standing ban of the product intact. Silicone breast implants are used commonly over seas in Europe and Asia, but other countries medical standards are quite different from those of the Canada and the US. Many plastic surgeons in Toronto claim that the breast implants have improved tremendously over the years that they feel that will weigh heavily on the decision, they just want to see the decisions based on good scientific knowledge rather than raw emotion over such a subject.
